Church of St. Nicholas Prague
Last weekend we visited Prague. I will upload some more pictures of our five day stay in the city soon, but first I want to share these pictures of the fantastic Church of St. Nicholas (Chram sv.Mikulase). The interior was really astonishing. The pillars in the church at some point merge with the paintings on the ceiling. It was extremely hard to see what was painted and what was real.
Who thought that our St. Nicholas (or Sinterklaas) would be a softy only bringing presents to kids on the 5th of December is totally wrong. Several statues in the church show the real use of his golden staff (e.g. image 3). So children better be nice this year otherwise he might just give a demonstration of his ass-kicking-staff-skills!
Because there is so much to see in the pictures I have included the larger size (66%) images here: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.

This seems great for HDR!
Yeah but of course there is no chance that they will let you set up a tripod in the church. I worked with a lot of masked layers of curves in Photoshop to get some more local contrast in the pictures.
Foto 4 met dat naar beneden kijkend standbeeld heeft een heel cool perspectief!
Bram the photos are stunning!!! Love the perspective of some and omg so many details!!!
wauw Bram,
Mooi, mooi,
maatje
