London
Of course next to the MICCAI conference I found some time to go around London and take a few pictures. I met my friends Ula and Tomek who recently moved from Eindhoven to London and had a great late-night sightseeing tour with them. Thanks guys!
I had one day after the conference to go around London. I read that some Iranian businessman just opened a Central Perk coffee house in London (Central Perk is the famous coffee house from the Friends TV series) so I went there to have a look. They replicated the set from Friends and Gunther, the famous waiter from Friends supposedly was there to open the cafe. I didn’t see him and didn’t go in because there was an incredible queue and I had many more things to see.
I also paid a visit to the Natural History Museum, which was really worth it. You could definitely spend a whole day there without being bored. It was a pity I didn’t have the whole day so I had to go through some exhibitions faster than I would have liked. Afterward I spent some time at Camden Market, looking for the guy Ula and Tomek said would juggle with active chain saws, but I only found a guy who dislocated his shoulder to climb through a tennis racket (yuch!). I ended the day at the Tower bridge to take some pictures during the sunset. I really have to return to London to see the rest of the great sights!
