Thije & Yinthe

Last Sunday I took some pictures of my new nephew Thije and my niece Yinthe. I can tell you that it’s is quite difficult to get nice pictures of someone who’s sleeping the whole time while the other one is behaving like a thunderstorm. Anyway, here are the results.

Sam

My parents were away yesterday and asked me to take care of Sam, their dog. Of course I couldn’t resist taking a picture…

First Home Studio Shoot

Adrienne left for the Philippines to go to her cousin’s wedding, so I am all alone at home. What better to do when you are home all alone, than turn your living room into an improvised studio. With my own two Canon strobes (the 580 EX II and the 430 EX) and Evgeniya’s 420 EX I set up a small studio. The pictures turned out great. With Scott Kelby’s Photoshop CS3 book on my lap, I will edit them to give them a bit more punch and then I will upload them here.

Here’s already one example:

Zoom Experience ’08

Yesterday me, Vesna, Paulo and Tim went to the Zoom Experience in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. Last year it was too small and overcrowded, but this year the exhibition was much bigger and because of that a lot less crowded. I even had the opportunity to play around with the 5D mark II at the Canon stand! I just can’t wait to have one myself. The Canon representative told me that it should hit the stores at the end of November…

There were many more shows, shops, models and studio setups which you could try out. Below you see some of the pictures I took in these studio setups. Vesna modelled for me in the first two shots and the other two were taken in the SWPP stand with a professional model. It was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to take some more studio portraits!
