Neda & Gonda go Punk
After the vintage dresses shoot, we went to the Berenkuil in Eindhoven. I showed pictures of this location to Neda and Gonda a week earlier and they told me they had the perfect outfits. The result is very… colorful.
Vintage Pictures
This Saturday Neda and Gonda came over for pictures. Gonda brought a lot of very nice outfits including some very nice vintage dresses. We had a great time taking these pictures outside.
Another image I really liked from the shoot, because it contrasts the modern with the old is this one.
Some More Pictures of Neda
Since I have to work next weekend, I thought it might be nice to compensate with a day off today… In retrospect I should have gone to work instead. I didn’t put it on my website yet, but my car was completely restored from the accident that happened some time ago. It got a new paint job, new bumper, new side, new wheel, new pretty much everything. But alas, the shiny newness wasn’t to be enjoyed for too long. Today I went to do some groceries. Driving carefully, staying clear of the elderly, I was making my way to the Albert Heijn. Everything was going fine until I passed some construction work. Just when I passed a strong wind knocked over a metal fence with a traffic sign right on my car… What are the chances… Does yellow attract trouble? Luckily the foreman saw it happen and assured me that they would pay for the damage. So I went back to my friends at the garage for my new damage… Sigh. They will repair it on the 12th of May. The bumper needs to be replaced and sprayed… Ah well, who knows, maybe I can again drive the Fiat Panda for a bit!
Anyways, apart from groceries and the garage visit, I had time to edit some more of Neda’s pictures. Enjoy.
1 commentPhotographing Thije and Yinthe
Yesterday my sister came by for pictures of her two children, Thije and Yinthe. I can tell you without a doubt that photographing children will never become my hobby. I found out that you really need to have good lighting all over otherwise you are going to have a lot of shadows on the wrong places. Also children move to much, even with the shutter speed of 1/125s (the maximum sync speed of my studioflashes) the pictures are still not as sharp as they are supposed to be. I also learned that when you ask a child to smile you get the most creepy look ever… Then when you think you are finally ready to take pictures of one of them the other one attacks you from behind…
