Visit to Switzerland

Adrienne and me have been in Switzerland the last two weeks. It was great to walk in the mountains again. Even though it was quite hot in the full sun (and very sweaty), I brought my heavy backpack along. It is a pity the cable cars go down the mountain already at 17.15h, it would be great to take some pictures of sunset in the mountains… Perhaps next time we need to find a mountain cabin and have a sleep over. For now enjoy these midday hard sun pictures.

Third Price in Chip Foto-Video Magazine’s “Movement” Contest

I won third price in this month’s CHIP Foto-Video magazine. They had a contest about movement. I submitted the picture below, which I took last year in New York. The price is a large canvas print.
You can see the rest of the price winners on the forum of CHIP.

Old Library in Prague

In Prague we visited a very old library. The interior was magnificent and the amount of old books (the oldest on the shelves was from around 1200) just standing next to open windows was staggering. They even had a collection of books about shrubberies and trees, as you can see in image 4, the great thing about the books is that their covers are made from the plant itself.
It would be great to do your homework in such an environment…
